Last Improv Performace

Yep, It's sad, but true...tonight's your last night to see Improv. w/ moi...

Anyway, this must be my week for finding games. I found an online Sonic the Hedgehog Game today I am a fan of Sonic and I was so happy to see it. It only has one Level (i.e. 2 zones w/ a boss) but it's really good for an online game. Of course you can never compete w/ the real thing.

here's the link!

This'll be today's entry. I'm homeworking right now so I can't do much...

"There are faces! Dead faces in the water!"

The strangest thing happened today. I was at the school store during my lunch period and there was this jar of jelly beans. There was a contest to see who can gues the closest, blah,blah,blah...and I thought that the prize was the jellybeans. I guessed 308 and I won!!! But I didn't win the Jelly beans...

I won 2 tickets.

To Improv.

Seeing as I'm in Improv Maybe I should've not come by in time and let the tickets go to the next closest guesser. But I took them, and gave them away.

NOw I have a 3rd ticket...

That one is my mom's. She was going to come to Improv tonoght, but she needed to go to New York to get some things for her African Dance class. So she gave me her ticket (which she got free, because she works here) and told me to give it away. I think I'm going to sell it for $2.50 (instead of the usual $5.00) So far, no luck. Any way...

School was good. I don't have to do homework right now (since I have the weekend) so I'm just going to type away, ladeeladeeda...

Maybe not...I feel like wrapping this up...So I guess I will.

Almost Forgot!
Daily Commands(havent done this in a while)
1. Go to Improv. I might get whipped cream in my face...that would be very funny.
2. Go to Improv. It is the funniest show...ever.
3. Go to Improv. I'm in it...
4. Go to Improv. You saw this coming didn't you?
5. If you do not go to Choate, then feel very bad that you will not be able to go to improv. (except if you live in the area, the show is open to the public, but if you live in California...I don't think you'd fly to Connecticut to see a high-school production, no matter how good it is)

Ok, My tirade is done...there is no spoon.

Long Weekend here I come!

Written on October 18
I just finished my last class(Spanish) and now I'm ready to go home. Just need to wait for my mom (at a Day Student Parent meeting) That'll be a good half hour, enough time to give you another entry (I think I hear cheers from my viewing audience...)

Well, I guess I'll fill you in on the games that I'll play in Improv...

First off:
Party Quirks
OK this game requires four people: One host and three guests. The host leaves the room and the audience chooses "quirks for the guests. The host is invited back in and startes setting up the party. The guests come in, one by one, acting out their quirks. The object of the host is to guess what character the guests are in context.
Ex:
Guest #1 is Hilary Clinton
Guest #2 is a snowman
Guest #3 is a runway model

Guest #1 knocks. Host answers
HOST: Hello.
GUEST #1:Hello. Oh! you remind me of Monica get out of my face!
HOST: Monica?
Guest #2 knocks. Host answers.
GUEST #2: Man. It's warm in here. can you turn up the AC?
HOST: Sure...
GUEST #1: It's just that Monica had....relations with my husband
HOST: I'm sorry Mrs. Clinton (audience claps) Here have some pie.
....continues with other two guests...

Next...
Say What?
Needs 6 players broken up into 3 teams of 2. The first team gets a relationship from the audience (i.e. brother and sister, boss and employee...) the second gets an activty (skiing, running, boxing) and the third gets a location, preferibly one that fits on the stage (elevator, bedroom, Starbucks) and a first line, any line that was said that day. ("You have a booger in your nose!") Then the first team starts off with that Line and makes a sceneabout their topic. Whenevere they want, the other two teams can clap to stop the current scene. Then, they start their scene with the last line the previous team said.
Example:
Team 1 Player 1:You have a booger in your nose!
Team 1 Player 2:Really sis? Did you put it there?
T1 P1: Yes I did it last night.
Team 3 Claps
T3 P1: Yes I did it last night. I fixed the elevator last night.
T3 P2:Cool, I didn't know you could fix elevators.
T3 P1:It's a hobby of mine.
Team 2 Claps.
T2 P1:It's a hobby of mine.
(etc., etc....)

The game ends when all three teams say the same line. Even if it doesn't make sense.
T3 P1:Elevators are cool.
T1 P2:Elevators are cool.
T2 P1:Elevators are cool.
Lights go down...

Next:
Fairy Tale shrinker
First you need from the audience a fairy Tale (like Jack and the Beanstalk)
Then 4 players act out the fairy tale in 1 minute. After, they reset and do the same scene in 30 seconds. Then in 15 seconds, 5 seconds, and 1 second.

Last
Crime Scene
You need three players, 1 Criminal and 2 investigators. The criminal leaves and the investigators get from the audience a person that the criminal killed (i.e. Gandalf) an unrealated place (Carnegie Hall. NOT the bridge of Khazad-dum or Hobbiton, they're related to Gandalf) and a thing the the victim was killed with (a CD. It can be related, but try to avoid it.) The criminal is brought in and the investigation starts. The investigators give clues (in context) and the criminal says the answers when he knows them (in context too)

Example:
Investigator #1: So you couldn't take magic,huh?
Investigator #2: Yeah, or maybe you didn't like how he was always friends with the hobbits.
Criminal: Well, I didn't think that an upstanding wizard such as Gandalf should associate with Hobbits.
Audience Claps.
I 1: Huh. Well, that place! He just wanted to enjoy a nice concert in New York!
(Etc. etc....)

Well, that's all the games I'm in anyway. To see them all, go to Improv Oct 23,24,25 at 7:00 pm. Only Five dollar tickets!

Toodles!
